We’re all about sharing the stories of strong and influential women, so we took our name from just such a woman – Nellie Bly! Nellie Bly was the pen name of journalist Elizabeth Cochrane Seaman, who lived (an amazing life) from 1864 to 1922. She was a crusader, an adventurer, a businesswoman and a philanthropist who was best known for her ground-breaking investigative reporting and a record-breaking trip around the world. She symbolizes the strength and sense of adventure that we want to portray in our stories and products, and she was a natural choice for a company focused on #girlpower and the leadership, creativity and influence of women in our world.
